During Sunday night’s episode of “The Walking Dead,” you learned that most of that thing known as “sympathy” that you may have once had for The Governor is probably now gone. This is a man who has done terrible things, and now seems particularly intent on doing more terrible things. Apparently, he seems to think that it is okay to just randomly kill Martinez with a golf club because Lily feels safe around him. This was the big death of this episode, and with him now in charge of a group again, we have the character taking off to the prison in hopes of seeing if there is anything that he can take from it… including the prison itself. We don’t know why he thinks this will work this time around, but it will be interesting to see how it all unfolds.
The midseason finale is entitled “Too Far Gone,” and the primary story of this is The Governor finding a way to infiltrate the prison once again and claim it as its own. There is going to be quite a bit that unfolds here, in between the return of Rick and the prison group, and death … plenty of it.at the biggest risk of dying in this episode? You really just have to take your pick. We don’t see losing Rick, Daryl, Glenn, or Maggie at this point, but almost everyone else is fair game. While much of season 4 has suffered from a case of “killing minor characters only,” we imagine that this will not apply to an episode this big. We could feasibly even see The Governor going at this point, now that he’s had a little bit redemption and also a reminder that he is still, at his core, the dastardly man that we met so very long ago.
